This augmented reality (AR) experience sees kids and adults alike searching for hidden butterflies that can be found only through the lens of a tablet’s camera. Shoppers will swiftly tap on their tablets while facing a beautiful forest canvas – custom made for this event.

What is the Experience?

Shoppers in HillV2 will capture animated butterflies as they float around the experiential canvas. However, the trick is that they can only be seen and caught through the given tablet.

As players move around the canvas, attentiveness and quick reactions are needed to spot these majestic creatures. Upon tapping the butterfly, points will be awarded. Their final score is recorded and displayed on the leaderboard if it’s above the existing top scorers. 

What is the Objective?

To evoke joy and excitement as players frolick through the quaint forest, discovering butterflies with the help of augmented reality technology.

How Does It Work?

Participants will stand facing the canvas with tablet in hand. As they scan through the canvas’s surface, the application will be constantly searching for specific areas that, when scanned, generate butterflies onto the screen. These spots would usually be where butterflies are normally found – like the top of flowers or around trees. 

When butterflies appear, players are tasked to capture them and earn points by tapping the location of the butterfly. A time limit decides the duration given for each game and the player’s score is recorded, to be featured on a leaderboard.
