Launched in 2017
Trinax designed and built Asia’s first interactive 3D projection mapping on an F1 car. The public could select unique designs which would be superimposed onto the life-sized race car. With its spectacular and ever-changing lighting effects, the interactive projection mapping car proved to be a photo worthy installation for all to enjoy.
What is the Experience?
A mesmerising Online-to-Offline (O2O) projection platform, housed within a 9m wide 3D projection mapping container, the interactive projection mapping car enabled the public to create truly dynamic designs from their wildest imaginations. The dazzling display attracted curious on-lookers on the busy streets of Orchard Road who stopped to appreciate the alluring designs of the race car.
In line with the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, an annual adrenaline-charged racing event, the goal was to construct an astounding installation along the streets of Singapore that would appeal to Singaporeans and tourists alike. Using projection mapping technology, we hoped to generate stunning visuals that would allow the crowd to bask in an electrifying atmosphere during this period of non-stop racing action.
Members of the public were invited to scan a QR code on a standee beside the installation, which directed them to a microsite to choose their favourite car designs. After a few easy steps, they were able to see their designs come to life!
