As part of promotional material for the launch of “The Lego Movie 2”, an Augmented Reality experience was presented to fans and shoppers. Users stand in front of an LED screen equipped with motion sensors and appear on-screen alongside characters from the movie. Flashy lights and catchy music typical of a dance scene set the stage as users dance to the beat.
What is the Experience?
An enclosed booth offering augmented reality (AR) featuring characters from “The Lego Movie 2”. Users can dance along with their favourite characters from the movie as music and vibrant displays merge to form this immersive experience.
To promote and raise awareness of the release of the movie as well as sustain interest among fans by offering an interactive and memorable activity.
Motion sensors detect when a user stands in front of the screen and streams a live feed of them. Augmented reality (AR) technology allows a Lego character to appear seemingly within the same area as the user, as bright lights and catchy tunes reminiscent of a dance stage plays on-screen.
