As a market leader in the beauty and cosmetics industry, SK-II wanted to push the boundaries and engage their consumers in a more engaging and immersive way. As such, an interactive solution comprising of two interactive games – the Koji rice massage and aura goals, were implemented.
In the Koji rice massage, users had to stir a bowl of rice and as they continued to do so, the dark circles around the girl’s eyes on the screen would disappear. In the latter, users were required to take a photo of themselves which would be used as the face for the game. Dark spots would start appearing on the user’s face and the intention was for user to tap on the dark spots to remove them. This interactive campaign proved to be effective as it led to an increase in product sales for the brand.
