Launched in 2020
A virtual carnival that gathered like-minded people for a good cause. This carnival contains a wide suite of interactive activities such as games, online content and an e-commerce store.
What is the Experience?
With safety measures in place amid the global pandemic, Assisi Hospice’s annual highlight fundraising carnival – Assisi Fun Day (AFD) – would have to be hosted online from 5th to 15th November, 2020.
Utilising Trinax’s virtual event platform, this virtual event featured a slew of interactive activities that included the likes of an extensive online marketplace, interactive games and exciting live content, all for a good cause!
The ultimate objective is about fundraising. However, the teams recognised the challenges of fund raising in such a unique circumstance. Therefore, we had to innovate and be creative with ways to engage with the public before the event, and also continuously during the event in the most meaningful way possible.
The goal was also to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones through this virtual event. This experience should also serve as a case study for future Assisi events to be held in a hybrid manner so as to garner greater outreach.
This year’s virtual Assisi Fun Day strived to live up to the tradition of a fun and colourful physical carnival. By creating an interactive 3D rendition of a visionary carnival, visitors are able to fly through this 3D carnival and explore the different segments of this virtual event platform. This platform contains exciting features such as:
Extended systems for merchants to integrate and power the entire process from end to end.
Featuring varying mechanics and purposes so as to engage with users tactically at different times.
Automated Lucky Draw System
Empowering the Assisi Hospice team to spur the users throughout the event with the use of technology.
Engaging content for users to watch and enjoy.
Virtual Photo Booth
Interactive booths for users to share supporting messages with customisable stickers and frames.
Content Management System
A system that allows backroom staff to manage and update transactions, donations and content.
