Launched in 2019
To commemorate its 60th anniversary since its founding, REDAS designated this landmark event to Trinax for an immersive and enthralling 10 days of celebration that also coincided with the nation’s 54th birthday. With much anticipation and excitement in the air, REDAS hoped to take advantage of this in its drive to entertain and enlighten the crowd that breezes through the CBD area.
What is the Experience?
Visitors get active as they go on a virtual bicycle ride through an animation depicting a travel through Singapore’s history. Riding on anchored old-school bicycles, participants pedal in groups as if on a real ride as a time-lapse video plays. The combination of a physical activity merged with experiential technology provides businesses and organisations with a two-pronged approach to generate an exceptionally immersive experience for their audiences. A simple interactive kiosk can also be installed to engage visitors who are less active.
To reach an audience made up of mostly office workers and where time is of the essence, it is imperative that the event deploys elements that can capture attention, promote participation, and send a message simultaneously. If it coincides with another major event, the two can be combined through experiential technology to form a specialised experience aimed at a target audience.
In a cycling projection dome, participants can cycle on real bicycles that have been secured to the ground. A curved LED screen equipped with motion sensors plays a short video that participants can enjoy as part of the experience. A separate interactive kiosk with push buttons that play different videos can also be installed separately to accommodate or complement an audience.
